Holiday cheer and
good feelings abound in this whimsical collection of five beloved
Yuletide favorites! Beginning with Ding Dong! Merrily on High
in fanfare fashion supported by rich harmonies and a variety of
percussion, the music changes moods and yields to the beautiful and
haunting Silent Night. A playful version of Jingle Bells
moves seemlessly into a spirited version of The Wassail Song
in which the entire band soon depicts a festive holiday parade
complete with roll-offs and police whistles! A woodwind chorale then
introduces We Wish You a Merry Christmas before the entire
piece explodes into a rivetting jazz waltz to bring down the house. Stunning! Comment
