Comments on: Each Time You Tell Their Story
My concert band did this piece for a spring concert last year and I live in a small town with a high percentage of military families, including mine. Nearly the whole town showed up at our historic Rialto Theater to listen to this particular piece which we dedicated to all of those who have lost their lives fighting for our beloved country. It was a very emotional night and one I'll never forget. Almost the entire crowd was in tears when it was over since we had a slide-show in the background showing all of the members in the service who had lost their lives from our community. Out of 10, the entire town of Deer Lodge gives this piece a 10. Thank You.

Comments on: Conquest
Conquest is a great piece. When I listen to my school band play it almost makes me cry! Anyway, Brian Balmages (the composer of Conquest) is a great composer and I give many thanks to him. Conquest will be a life-long song for me.

Comments on: Symphonic Episodes
Brian Balmages has created a symphonic episode, that has everything that an orchestral piece needs and more. This piece is truly magnificent with music that will lift you to a realm of beauty. The piece contains numerous solos and various melodies and harmonies making it delicate and strong at the same time. This is a piece that you will truly enjoy. Our band Hialeah High Senior is playing it, and we believe that any audience will love it.

We were playing this in orchestra class, and our director told us to go on this site and to listen to it. It's the same exact score we were playing! It instantly became my favorite piece.

Comments on: Lest We Forget
I listened to this piece and was blown away. I really liked it. It was very lyrical. The solos and solis were just amazing. I liked how the band played while the voice spoke close to the end. That section gave me chills. I would really like to perform this piece sometime.

Comments on: Summer Dances
Wow, Summer Dances is such a great piece to play. Not only is it fun, but it teaches one a lot about chords, clarity, balance within a section/the band and making sure every note is herd. When played and counted correctly, a story will be told.

I am a part of the Dunbar Middle School Advanced Orchestra in Lynchburg, VA. We are playing this piece for our winter concert. It has been one of the most enjoyable pieces we've had so far this year. If there are any conductors or instructors reading this then you need to get this piece.
