Frog and Toad

Inspired by the poem of 19th century English poet Christina Rossetti (also the author of "In the Bleak Midwinter"), provides a wonderful change of pace. The frog theme is lighthearted in a major key, while the toad theme is plodding and in a minor key (though there are no formal key changes in the music). This fun piece is full of contrasting dynamics, articulations, and styles. Clever!
