An artistic study in delicate touch, this lovely lullaby teaches RH and LH balance, especially when the LH has the melody in the contrasting minor section. Students with smaller hands will have no trouble playing this piece, where reaches in the LH do not exceed an interval over a sixth.

Early Intermediate

First Etude

W9276 / 2.50

Students will benefit greatly from the wide variety of articulated patterns found in this early intermediate level piano solo. They will be motivated to master this piece which incorporates impressive sounding staccato passages in the A section, offset by the legato patterns found in the B section. Students will experience quick changes in the B section's dynamic levels that not only sound impressive, but also offer valuable practice in dynamic control.

Intermediate

Arabesque

W9357 / 2.50

Flowing triplets in the left hand support a lyrical right hand melody in this beautiful piece for the intermediate level student. The triplet accompaniment is easy to coordinate with the melody and produces a shimmering ending in true arabesque style.

Ballade

W9289 / 2.50

An expressive piece written in the key of A minor and in 3/4 time that can be learned quickly, and is very enjoyable to perform. The lyrical melody in the A section is followed by a secondary melody in the B section that creates a pleasing balance before the A section returns. Ballade is a very good choice as an additional recital piece, especially for the older or adult student.

Brady's Beat

W9327 / 2.50

A cool jazz piece in 5/4 time that really swings! This piece will be appealing for teens as well as adult students. The syncopations and articulations lie easily in the hands and will definitely become a favorite for students!

Springtime Memory

W9352 / 3.50

This lyrical solo is excellent for lessons and provides practice in playing legato sixths in the right hand melodic line. Written for the intermediate level pianist and in 3/4 time, this piece would be especially suitable for the teenage or adult student in the studio.

Toccatina in D Minor

Patterned, easy-to-learn piece allows your students to explore the fresh harmonies and left hand melodies of this wonderful toccatina. A splendid, classical composition, which offers contrasting dynamics and a good opportunity for expressive playing.

This exciting early advanced piece includes rhythmic drive, toccata-style repetition of notes, and a lovely lyrical section. Using a great range of the keyboard, this piece features sections with contrasting romantic and contemporary styles. Tell your students to listen carefully for the surprise ending.
