Three Wishes

This charming pre-reading solo will be a favorite among beginners with its easy black key patterns and delightful lyrics. Students are asked to create wishes, as if they had their own genie. Each time the verse is repeated, a different dynamic level is used.

 


Early Elementary


Awesome Possum

Here's a "totally awesome" blues piece for the hip elementary student! Written in a modified Middle C position with occasional flats, the piece avoids eighth notes and has minimal hands-together playing.

 

In the Deep Blue "C"

This Middle C position piece has appealing lyrics and melody. Students will find it easy to read and play.

Bach's Twenty Kids

Echoes of Egypt

This mysterious Egyptian-sounding piece is written for the late elementary level student. The A section contains a haunting single note melody while the B section has an interesting change in mood using a LH melody with RH triads moving downward step wise in a rhythmic fashion. The A section then returns to end the piece.

 


Elephant Stomp

An incredibly fun solo that includes written cues for the student to "stomp the floor"! Features accents and left-hand crossovers.
