|
Written for the
Intermediate level student, this piece captures the mysterious and
uncertain moods of a storm. From the beginning, a melodic figure in
the RH represents the feeling of something churning and growing. The
second section consists of booming bass octaves in the LH, with the
RH playing a two-note slurred figure jumping across three octaves.
The piece finally winds down by the end, and a pianissimo
dynamic depicts a calm ending to the storm. |

Tango Argentino |
W9200 / 2.50 |
|
|
Capture audience
attention with the sophisticated rhythms and colorful harmonies of
the tango! The very expressive Tango Argentino
will be popular with teens and adults. Although the notes and tempo
do not appear to be too challenging, the hands are required to move
quickly from one position to the next, and pedaling must be precise.
This is a wonderful piece for teaching musicality and precision in articulation. |
