Scherzetto
is an early intermediate piece that serves as a wonderful
introduction to classical repertoire. The A section is written in the
humorous and playful style characteristic of a scherzo, while
the B section is lyrical and expressive. This piece offers a wide
variety of articulations and changes of mood, in part by the use of
contrasting parallel keys of A minor and A Major between the A and B
sections. This piece would be perfect for an adult student as well as
younger students.
