This stellar, evocative work is written in a similar style as Pagan Dances, another powerful work in a primitive style. Using a large percussion section (with many world instruments), the music is cast in several sections. The opening Jaguar Dance is based on driving and powerful rhythms before the evocative and mysterious Ghost Dance. This leads into Human Sacrifice, an emboldened 7/8 dance that approaches moments of chaos that lead to a powerful and dark ending. Intense! (12:45)
