
Teaching the World to Play!

Dr. Crystal Zimmerman teaches class piano, music history, and applied piano at Willamette University, where she also serves as staff accompanist and coordinates the accompanying program. She holds a Doctor of Musical Arts degree from the University of Oregon with an emphasis in piano performance and a secondary area in musicology, as well as a Master of Musical Arts in piano performance and pedagogy.
An active performer, Dr. Zimmerman maintains a busy schedule of collaborative, chamber, and solo recitals. She is the author of a six-book Sonatina series published by FJH Music Company. A longtime member of the Music Teachers National Association (MTNA), she is also actively involved in the Oregon Music Teachers Association (OMTA).
Outside of her professional work, Dr. Zimmerman enjoys spending time with her two sons and the many pets that bring life and laughter to their home.
