Jay Hicks

Jay Hicks


Jay Hicks has edited multiple methods in the FJH Guitar Catalog. He is also a co-writer for the Way to Play: Bluegrass Guitar publication. Jay holds a B.B.A in Computer Information Systems from Georgia State University, a B.A. in Music Theory from Charter Oak State College, and an M.M. in Music Education from the University of Florida. He teaches elementary and middle grades general music, music technology, modern music, guitar, and band at Madison Creative Arts Academy, a K-8 Public Charter School in Madison, Florida. He holds professional teaching certificates from the State of Florida in Music (K-12), Exceptional Student Education (K-12), and Computer Science (K-12). He also works with Method Teacher, LLC (an E-Learning Music Curriculum Company) as a co-author, editor, and content specialist of online music courses used by virtual schools around the country. Jay serves as the Musical Director for the theatre program at North Florida College, where he is also an adjunct guitar instructor.
