After a bold introduction, a buoyant melody emerges from the lower voices of the ensemble, surrounded by brief fanfares and punctuations that resonate throughout the piece. A number of opportunities exist to showcase each section of the ensemble, and a contrasting middle section sets up a joyous and exciting return of the opening melody.
