Jane S. Lewis

Jane S. Lewis


Jane attended Mary Washington College and Northwestern University where she received a Bachelor’s Degree in music education. Jane also did graduate study under Dr. John Diercks at Hollins University. For 45 years, she taught piano and voice lessons until retiring in 1999. Jane has also served as choir director for several area churches.

A charter member of her local chapter of the Music Teachers National Association, Jane has served in all areas of leadership. With the Virginia Music Teachers Association, she was a state officer and served 11 years on the Certification Board, six of these years as state chairman.

Jane is a native of Martinsville, Virginia who resides in the village of Fieldale.
