Soaring, for one piano four hands, is an uplifting intermediate/late intermediate ensemble piece commissioned for the 10th Anniversary of the Bismarck-Mandan Monster Concert, 2008. This piece with its lyrical melodic lines and strong rhythmic B section, precisely portrays the feeling of uninhibited gliding or "soaring" as titled. Students will love playing this ensemble piece and portraying its free spiritedness.
